Did you know that in a typical year, less than 20% of the registered voters in the Bedford Central School District will cast a vote during the school budget/Board of Education vote?   It's so simple, and so important for our community - spread the word - a vote is a terrible thing to waste!
  • Budget re-vote day is Tuesday, June 21st.  This date is mandated by the state and cannot be changed.  It is the SAME day as the FLHS Graduation.  Plan ahead for yourselves and your voting-age students!
  • Polls are open at your local elementary school from 7am-9pm
  • Don't forget about your voting-eligible kids & neighbors!  College students can vote via absentee ballot.  EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
  • Register for an absentee ballot TODAY!  If work runs late or the kids get sick, your ballot has already been cast!  Details on applying for an absentee ballot are as follows and the application is attached below (from the BCSD website):

Please make note of the following mandated timeline information:

  • Tuesday June 14, 2016 is the deadline for application submission if the ballot will be mailed to you.
  • Monday June 20, 2016 is the deadline for application submission if the ballot will be hand delivered to you.
  • All ballots must be delivered personally to voter. 
  • ALL COMPLETED BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE DISTRICT CLERK’S OFFICE BY 5:00 P.M. ON TUESDAY, June 21, 2016 in order to be counted in the vote tally.
