THE BCSD IS BEING SHORTCHANGED BY NEW YORK STATE.

The NY State School Funding System is broken.

Out of the 46 Westchester-Putnam School Districts, the BCSD ranks:

#4 in English Language Learner (ELL) Student Growth

#7 in ELL Students as a percent of total enrollment

#11 in Free/Subsidized Lunch Students as a percent of total enrollment

And disturbingly...

#40 (OUT OF 46) IN THE AMOUNT OF STATE AID RECEIVED PER STUDENT

State funding should flow to districts with the highest need students.

In NY State, it does not.
